Residents and neighbors of Merriam Mountains will enjoy public access amenities, such as pedestrian and equestrian trails, community parks, multi-use athletic fields, overlook points, and other outdoor venues. In addition to the preserved open space, Merriam Mountains will provide a total of 37 parks (16 public) on 89 acres and 18.3 miles of trails—all in areas where there are currently no County public parks.

The improved parks range from a 10-acre community park with ball fields and other recreational amenities to half-acre pocket parks and community greens. A park or trail will be within walking distance of every home in the community and will connect to a network of County trails.
